8/27 - Orphan Block Quilted Pillow Cover Workshop
Do you have finished quilt blocks that never became a quilt? Bring one to this workshop, and learn how to turn it into a quilted pillow cover!
Skills you will learn in this workshop:
Making a quilt sandwich, pin basting, quilting your pillow cover, cutting with a rotary cutter and ruler, and sewing an envelope back.
Level: Confident Beginner (Must have experience sewing by machine)
Instructor: Diana Rodgers
Required supplies*:
1 finished quilt block that is at 12" to 24" square.
Batting- 3-4” larger than your quilt block.
Quilting cotton for your pillow's backing: 2 pieces of fabric that are both 3-4” larger than your quilt block.
Rotary cutter
Acrylic quilting ruler- 6" x 12" or larger
Scissors
Straight pins
2" Safety pins
Seam ripper
