11/19 Intro to Hand Embroidery

Are you embroidery curious? In this workshop, you will learn classic hand embroidery stitches and techniques like stem stich, the adorable French knots, blanket stitch, and more. Each student will create a sampler of stitches while learning how to use an embroidery hoop, stitch with embroidery floss, and transfer images. In addition to the sampler, students will create small embroidered images. This is the perfect workshop to start creating a strong foundation of embroidery skills.

Embroidery floss skeins in 2 or more colors

Embroidery needle, size 5

7" Embroidery hoop (can be slightly larger)

Water soluble or disappearing ink marker

Scissors

Felt tip pen
