8/29 Y-Seams Made Easy Workshop

In this workshop you will learn all the tips and tricks to easily sew Y-seams. This class is great if you have been hesitant to sew Y-seams in the past or have tried on your own and struggled. Each student will leave with the confidence to sew Y-seams on their own and a fun quilt block made from diamond shaped pieces. A die cut machine will be available during class to cut out all of your pieces quickly and easily, so you can focus on learning the technique. Once everyone has cut out their pieces for class, the die-cut machine will be available for students to use to easily and quickly cut out additional pieces for future projects.

required supplies:

6 - 5.5" x 8” rectangles for focal fabrics  

6 - 5.5” x 8” rectangles for background fabrics or 1 - 8” strip x WOF

rotary cutter (if fabrics above are not cut to sizes above before class)

6" x 12" ruler (or similar) (if fabrics are not cut to sizes above before class)

pins, sewing clips (optional), scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil
