Crumb Quilting

What is crumb quilting? Just what it sounds like, sewing all kinds of leftover little pieces (aka crumbs) to make fun, scrappy patchwork. No two blocks are ever alike.

See lots of samples, learn several variations of this super easy technique, and get plenty of inspiration!

This is a fun way to use up all of your little leftover scraps by making colorful, improvisational patchwork. No two blocks are ever the same. We’ll sew some basic blocks and then look at several examples for inspiration.

SCRAPS! Crumbs are little pieces leftover from cutting, any shape, about the size of the palm of your hand (but they can be smaller). You can also use strips, or even extra patchwork shapes. Bring as many as you can, go for variety over yardage. I’ll bring a bag of scraps to share so everyone has plenty of choices.

That’s it! Be prepared for some fast paced, scrappy fun.
